M/s. SCL INFRATECH LIMITED (Formerly Srinivasa Constructions Limited) is currently one of the few leading companies of Engineers and Contractors in India and is engaged in Construction of Engineering works, Specialised in Dam Construction, Canal excavation including formation of heavy embankment, Bridges and Concrete lining work. The firm from the formation stage has been concentrating on Dams, Barrages, Canals and Canal lining and are now Specialists in the field.
During the year 1981-85 the Company has executed part of Tons Barrage work in Madhya Pradesh including Excavation, Foundation treatment, Concrete, masonry etc. of the main barrage as well as abutments, wings and returns. The Company has also executed Link Canal/Power Channel works including Cement Concrete lining, Tunnel Concreting etc. of the Open Penstocks work of the Power house, including Construction of valve house, anchor blocks, pedestals and bed blocks.
With the experience gained on the barrage work on Tons Project in Madhya Pradesh and the Canal lining works of Sardar Sarovar Project in Gujarat the Company was prequalified by World Bank against Stiff prequalification requirements for packages on Srisailam Right Bank Canal in Andhra Pradesh. They had secured two works costing Rs.788 millions. The length of the Canal is 32.40 Km., One third of the total length of Srisailam Right Branch Canal. The work is completed in the stipulated time of three years. The quantity of excavation which is mostly in rock is 42,00,276 Cum. The work includes construction of large number of major cross masonry works like UTs, Acqueducts etc. and also heavy side walling. The Concreting involved is 2,37,914 Cum. out of which 1,07,251 Cum. is executed in one year. The World Bank officials during one of the visits to the Project, have in particular appreciated the work done by the Company they have expressed their satisfaction to the Hon. Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh about the progress and quality of work and have recommended the work of Srisailam Right Branch Canal to be taken as a Model for other Projects in the Country. This has been covered by the print media in the country extensively.
The Builders Association of India, had also recognised the good work done by the Company on Srisailam Right Branch Canal and have awarded a trophy for “EXCELLENCE IN CONSTRUCTION OF IRRIGATION WORKS” for the Year 1998.
The Company had reached an important milestone when a large masonry dam near Pune by name Temghar Dam, Costing Rs.1200 millions was procured against keen competition. This is a 85m high dam to be completed in 44 months and to meet this tight schedule, they had resorted to sophisticated construction technology utilising Mono Tower Cranes, Skip loaders etc. For this work, they had procured from Svedala Industries (India) Pvt. Ltd. one Single Toggle Jaw Master Crusher, one Hydrocone Crusher and one Barmac Sand Crusher costing over one and half Crores of Rupees. The work involves laying of 5,76,686 Cum. of masonry. A record placement of 200 Cum. of masonry per day was realized. The work is since completed.
The Company has executed another masonry Dam by name Chandrabhaga Project in Amaravathi District of Maharashtra State costing Rs.465 millions. The work is completed and is awarded best workmanship award by Vidarbha Irrigation Development Corporation, Nagpur, a Govt. of Maharashtra undertaking. The work involves construction of a Concrete Gravity Dam of height 55m.
The Company has further executed Rs.822 millions worth of a EPC - turnkey job from Govt. of Chattisgarh for a Weir and Canal Project, by name Rajiv Augmentation (Diversion) Scheme. The job covers investigations, Designs, Land Acquisition, Execution, Running, Erection of gates and Maintenance of the system for the 2 years. The entire work is completed.
The Company had also executed a Raw Water Reservoir work for the 1000 MW Thermal Station of NTPC which contains sophisticated items of work like placement of Geo-textile, HDPE Membrane, Cement Concrete Tiles etc. The HDPE membrane 1mm thick is imported from Taiwan which is placed in the Reservoir overlain by Cement Concrete Tiles of size 300 mm x 300mm x 50mm cast by sophisticated mobile machinery. This is really a
challenging work both in terms of speed as well as technology and sophistication, which is completed to the appreciation of the clients.
The Company had completed another work for execution of distributory network of Block X of S.R.B.C. costing Rs.345.35 millions. The work involves Earthwork Excavation and Embankment of about 1367 T.Cum. and more than 500 structures.
The Company had also procured a contract costing Rs.1124.10 millions for Construction of a high Barrage of Lower Tapi project near Jalgaon, Maharashtra State, with Earthwork Embankment of above 2000 T.Cum. The quantity of Concrete involved is 2,02,500 Cum. Work on this project also is in full swing.
The firm also executing prestigious Irrigation work by name Pulichintala Project in the State of Andhra Pradesh costing Rs.3000 millions. The work comprises of Construction of Dam and erection of gates and other associated works.
The Company is also executing Kakarla gap of (Package – IV) Veligonda Project costing Rs.2068 millions. The work involves Construction of Dam, Link Canal and Eastern Canal. The work is in progress. The Concreting involved is about 2,20,000 Cum.
The company also executing a work on Vamsadhara Project. The Cost of the work is Rs.666.80 millions. The work involves a Reservoir and Canal and a number of CM & CD works.
The Company has procured a 16.5 MW Taraba Small Hydro-Electric Power Project in Orissa State at a cost of Rs.99 Crores and the work is commenced in April, 2007.

It has on its fleet among other things, 35 Excavators, 160 Trucks, 5 Dozers and graders, 6 Rock crushing units, 6 Batching plants of 35 Cum. Capacity per hour, 6 Transit mixers of 4/6 Cum. Capacity and Concrete Pumps of Capacity 46 Cum./hour. In addition we have in our possession Telebelt for placing the Concrete, first of its kind in India, 160 Cum. Capacity Batching Plant, 100 Cum. Batching Plant and 90 Cum. Batching Plant, Single Toggle Jaw master Crushers, Hydrocone Crushers and Barmac Sand Crushers along with imported Road Building machinery. The firm also possesses other miscellaneous equipment like Air Compressors, Wagon Drills, Shuttering materials etc. The firm is a proud owner of a full survey station which very few contracting agencies in the Country possesses.
